usually i have no one to play with so what i do is make the two parts of table perpendicular and play against myself.....like a mini squash kind but the problem is although it increases my speed it doesnot help much with spins.....thats y if i play i usually have problems with spins like pendulum both clockwise and anticlockwise...(i can do these  serves quite easily) its only when the oponent does it its difficult to catch ...Any suggestions>? :)

Hi,

You could try to rig up a return board with rubber on it.  It works on the same principle as you are doing now except there is rubber to hit against.  This will give you some spin back to deal with.

#8 - Fast Footwork

In this session you'll focus on increasing the speed of your footwork. To do this we ask you to forget about consistency and concentrate on speed. You should be playing at a pace where you can get around 4 or 5 balls on the table. If you are getting 10 or 20 balls on then you need to up your pace again. It's important to play right to the edge of your ability to actually increase your skill level. We also continue to develop the new serve you have chosen to work on.
