For an intermediate player, are there any serves that could be useful and produce some spin.

What are some of your favorite serves

Hi Ethan,

The Pendulum serve is one of the easiest to learn and will allow you to generate a lot of spin and also get good variation.

If you can get yourself our Serving Secrets Revealed DVD.  This will provide you with a vast amount of information on serving and will also give you a great insight into the Pendulum serve.  We break it down into its simplest form initially so that you can learn it easily.

You need to follow some basic principles.  Stand side on with your left leg just touching the backhand corner of the table. THen start with your right elbow up high at shoulder level.  Use your forearm and wrist only to swing downwards in a pendulum motion.  With a bit of training you will be able to get it right.
