How do I return a service with high amount of sidespin on the ball?

Hi Anu,

This is a common question we receive. We are going to make a DVD on receiving later in 2010. For now though, the main thing to try is using your bat as a rudder to counter the sidespin. If the ball flies off your racket to the side of the table, then angle your bat in the opposite direction as you play your stroke. This will counter the sidespin and as the ball grips into your bat, it will be directed onto the table.
