Hi, I have watched you guys video on youtube, its great!

I have 2 questions about the rule:

1) when you serve, after the second bounce, the ball runs out of the SIDE LINE of the table. Is this a valid serve?

2) Can you win on the serve? For example in a game of 11, person A has 10(match pt) and person B has 8. Person B serves, but the he misses it. Person A wins the game? Or person B still has the change to serve?

Thank you very much!

Hi Karl,

This is a good serve.  The ball is allowed to go of  the side lines after it bounces.

Only in wheelchair table tennis this is a let.

You can win the match when you are serving.  It never matters whether you are serving or receiving.  If you win the rally you score a point.

The Mercy Rule

Some people talk about a rule where if you get to a seven nil lead, you automatically win the game. However in table tennis there is no such rule. To win the game you must get to 11 points and be ahead by 2.
