Hi Akansha,

That is a big question. There are several serves you can learn, from the pendulum serve to the backhand serve, to the tomahawk serve and then you can vary the type of spin you put on it.  You need to experiment with them all and find something that works for you.

We have spent a whole DVD talking about these things so a brief answer is a little difficult.

Try to develop the amount of spin and then the variations of spin on your serves. Once you become a developed server, don't try to have too many serves but think more about the subtle variations and placement of the serve.

I think you would find our "Serving Secrets Revealed" DVD very useful. You can find out more about it in our PingSkills Store or on our Home Page.

Hvae a look at it and let us know if you have any other questions about it.

Backhand Tomahawk Serve

In this lesson we show you how to execute the Backhand Tomahawk serve. This is a good complement to the Tomahawk serve. By utilising a similar action, it will make it difficult for your opponent to tell which way the ball and spin are going.
