Hi Chris,

We would all like to serve like Michael Maze :)

To start with you need to concentrate on being able to generate a lot of spin. You do this by using a fast swing and by brushing the ball. This does take a lot of practice. It is easy to swing the bat fast but it is hard to swing the bat fast and also brush the ball finely to generate the spin. So to start with get away from the table and just practice hitting the ball with a fast brushing action and get as much spin as possible. Don't worry about where the ball goes and just focus on getting as much spin as possible.

Once you can get a lot of spin on the ball, then you can come back to the table and start working on your serves. Experiment with a lot of different serves and see which ones you like doing the best. We cover all this and more on our DVD Serving Secrets Revealed.

Let me know if these tips help you out.
