Hi Oliver,

Try first gettign some backspin away from the table.  Go to an open piece of floor and try to get th eball to come back towards you on the floor. Do this by brushing at the base of the ball as afst as you can.  Teh important things are to contact the ball with a brushing action and the other is to get lots of speed on the contact.

Once you have mastered this on the floor you can try to do the same on a table.  Tihs will take a bit of time.

If you can get yourself a copy of Serving Secrets Revealed it will help you to understand this and get some good serves of your own.

#26 - Serving with Placement

Just by placing your serve better, you'll be able to win more points. Think about what happens when a good server plays you. What positions do they serve to that you find difficult. Try serving to similar positions yourself. We give you plenty of time to practice serving with placement in this week's training session.
