Hi Long,

This will happen in very humid conditions.  You just need to keep wiping your bat with a dry cloth.  At first in a match you may be able to use your shirt, however, if the conditions are humid, it is likely your shirt will also get quite wet.  So, keep a dry towel with you so that you can use it every 6 points to wipe your bat and keep it dry.

In a match you won’t have your hair-dryer with you I hope.  I know I certainly don’t take mine with me… oh hang on… I don’t have any hair either!

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I would avoid using a hair dryer on your rubbers at all, even if it is available. Especially for the expensive ones, like Tenergies: I'm afraid that hot air can damage the topsheet.
