Equipment
I have been using a cheap 5 dollar racket, and i consider myself to be pretty good with it. I was looking at the pingskills touch bat and wondering if i should upgrade? how long will it take to get used to a new one? will it improve my game? whats the difference? Just a few questions. Thanks
Hi Evan,
The PingSkills Touch will be a big step up from a cheap $5 racket. You may be better to go for the PingSkills Rook or something similar to start with. This will alos be a cheaper option for you to start with. You will still find this to be a bit of a step up in speed. It will also give you the ability to generate more spin on the ball. This is important when learning your strokes because the spin, will help you to control the ball as well. Without topspin on your strokes the ball can fly anywhere. The little bit of topspin adds control and gets the ball to hold a definite and consistent path.
You are looking for something with a reasonable rubber on it. We have found the Rook to be popular with those that have purchased it.
