Dear Alois and Jeff About performing the sidespin forehand topspin umm how do you get the ball down to the table when you put your paddle in a position that makes the ball fade. like when you lift the face of your bat? how do you consistently put it on the table without throwing the ball into the air?

here is the link : Sidespin Forehand Topspin

it starts from 0:55 to 1:12.

Hi Samuel,

This is really a matter of practice.  Remember as we say it is an advanced technique.  Make sure you can do the straight topspin first.

You can alter the angle of your bat to ensure the ball goes on the table.  Each ball is different so you will need a small adjustment with each stroke.  Your wrist can alter the angle for you.
