Single vs. Doubles

If a match was created between an excellent singles player and an excellent doubles team, who would have the advantage.  It seems to me that the complexity of having to change players with each stroke would be a liability that the doubles team would not be able to overcome, but maybe having two players with different styles would be an advantage.  What do you think?

Hi Marv,

The singles player would definitely win because of the rule of having to take it in turns and get out of the way of your partner.
