Hello

i have a seven year old boy who loves to play table tennis.  I bought a joola mid size table for him as I don't have enough space for a full size table. Now I am worried that playing on a smaller table would negatively impact his game, thoughts?

Regards

Rahul

Hi Rahul,

It will be a good introduction to the game.  It won't impact to start with, in fact it could help to develop control of the ball. It is also a little easier for children to develop control on the smaller table.

Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.
