Hi Billy,
PingSkills has filmed a lesson on smashing in our last videoing session. This will be avilable whenJeff gets some time to put it all together. This should be in the next couple of weeks. Watch out for it, I am sure it will help you out.

Crossover Footwork
When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.
