Strokes
Hi coach , I recently played a State Level Tournament and played really well and all the credit goes to your advice to only play and practice - serving , receiving and third ball attack . But there are some place I think I have made some mistakes , so I need your advice on them . First one is that my footwork is not that good, I mean I takes a lot of time to move from my backhand to make a forehand topspin on a push or on a fast counterhit ball . Second I am really unable to make a third ball attack . I mean I know how to do that really well and also practiced them a lot , but I dont know why I am kind of get afraid or lacks in confidence on it , as a result of which I am unable to do that in match . So please tell me some kind of standing position afer my serve so that I can move quickly and do a 3rd ball attack.
Hi Tushar,
Congratulations on your results at the tournament.
To improve your 3rd ball attack in a match keep practising it in your training. You will eventually develop the confidence to use it in a match. You should also try to use it in some practice matches.
This is the same with footwork. It takes a lot of practice to feel comfortable to be able to execute things in a match.
