Hi Alois/Jeff
Long time no see guys. how are you? Its been 6 months since i had written to u. so now i am back to disturb u yet again :P :P
So today its about a sidespin serve with topspin.. my friend is a leftee and shakehander like alois. while serving he puts his bat perpendicular to the table and puts a left sidespin+topspin to the bottom left side of my table. so when i try to hit it, it either goes towards my left or goes over the table.i tried to go the opposite way but still the spin aint enough..
the good thing is that i have figured out a way to counter it. i am a penholder so the solution was R.P.B.. however i am not much good at it. so do you have any other way to counter it.. please let me know
KEEP TTing
(Cheers)

Hi Parakram,
Good to see you back.
You can also use the normal side and block the ball back. You have the correct angle with your racket if you are doing that. It is in between a push and a block to allow for the sidespin and the topspin.

sorry didnt get u. too complex :/.. is it like putting the bat underneath the ball and backspinning it back or..?
Thanks alot for answering
I wouldn't try to get under the ball too much because the topspin will take the ball too high. Angle your bat more forward to counter the topspin.
