Equipment
There is a rumour going about that the ittf are going to make a rule change on thin sponge ie it must be 1.0 mm minimum if so will this also apply to ox players ? any truth in this
Hi Rob,
I haven't heard about this.
I wonder if other readers have heard anything.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Maybe this can happen this will make game of defenders even more difficult, ITTF will think so because this will help offensice player to defeat defenders even more easily.
One more question how the hardness of sponge is measured, I bought a Xiom Vega Tour Blade in which it is written that blade performs better with 47.5 degree sponge to 50 degree sponge I haven't bought the rubber till now so just asking?

The hardness measurement that Xiom reccomend are for German rubbers, Japanese and Chinese rubbers use a different measuring device. Which brand of rubber are you thinking of buying?
