There is a rumour going about that the ittf are going to make a rule change on thin sponge ie it must be 1.0 mm minimum if so will this also apply to ox players ? any truth in this

Maybe this can happen this will make game of defenders even more difficult, ITTF will think so because this will help offensice player to defeat defenders even more easily.

One more question how the hardness of sponge is measured, I bought a Xiom Vega Tour Blade in which it is written that blade performs better with 47.5 degree sponge to 50 degree sponge I haven't bought the rubber till now so just asking?

The hardness measurement that Xiom reccomend are for German rubbers, Japanese and Chinese rubbers use a different measuring device. Which brand of rubber are you thinking of buying?

I an thinking to buy rubber Stiga Airoc M and Andro Rasant Powergrip

Powergrip is 50 degrees, There is no stated hardness for Airoc M but it has been estimated at 45 degrees.
