Starting a club - finding good tables

So instead of starting a school club, I thought we would get a wider range and more serious/committed members and more funding if i were to start a club for my community.  We have a park commission that is funding us and we don't know our exact budget right now, but we are kind of in charge of picking out some tables.  Our initial budget is somewhere around 5,000.  I live in a town of about 20,000 people so it will be a small club, do you, or any ping skiller know of any good tables that can be bought in the US.  I would like to have 2-4 tables for this club.  preferably tournament quality

I was looking at a table called the butterfly centrefold 25, I think i could get 2 for around 1,500 each in fair condition : http://www.experttabletennis.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Best-Table-Tennis-Tables.jpg

Thanks

Hi Bennett,

What a great plan to start your own club.  Well done.

I think the Butterfly table you have there is a good quality.  I am not sure what is available in the U.S. and if you can get better value for your dollar.  Hopefully other PingSkillers will be able to help with this.

The club at my school currently has about 10 active members.

The biggest issue regarding retaining members for us is the number of tables.

4 $1,000 tables are much more beneficial than 2 $1,500 tables if slightly higher quality.

I know megaspin has Killerspin T10 tables for $1,000 each right now, and I have seen these tables used in USTTA tournaments.

Keep in mind every table equates to 2 players. If you think 2 tables -> 4 players is sufficient than disregard my post. 4 tables -> 8 players. Just my two cents.
