Stiga Carbotech Table Tennis Bat

Equipment

I'm just curious if I order this product from the PingSkills Store, does it come with rubbers or will I have to buy the Yasaka Rubbers and use them? And how do you get the rubbers onto your blade? Do you use some kind of glue or something? Also, could you inform me what exactly is speed gluing.  And what about the sponge underneath the rubber, will that be there? And if it comes with premade rubbers, of what quality will they be?

Thanks,

Chris

P.S: Please don't assume that I am a bronze level player just because I'm not familiar with bats/blades/and rubbers.  I know that I am good enough for the Stiga Carbotech.

Hi Chris,

The Stiga Carbotech comes complete and ready to play with. You won't have to worry about the sponge or rubber they will already be on the bat.  The premade rubber is a good control rubber that will enable you to generate spin, have reasonable control and have enough speed to be able to play your strokes correctly.

Speed gluing was using a special glue that you could put onto the sponge to glue it onto the wood.  The speed glue would make the bat faster.  These have now been banned so we don't really have to worry about it.

I am sure you will be good enough for the Carbotech.  Let us know if it helps your game out.  Good luck with it.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
