Tired of using the worn out rec center paddles when I play with the school club and thinking of getting my own paddle.  Don't really have much of a budget to work with though, and need to stick under $40.  Nearest Dick's Sporting Goods has the Stiga Vantage and Optima, and Joola Python in that price range.  Looking at Amazon though, the DHS A4002, A5002, and A6002 are all available for $32 or less.  Any recommendation between those?

Hi Tom,

The two Stiga bats and the Joola Python are similar.  It is hard to tell until I feel the rubber. They will be OK to start with your game.  With the DHS bats go for the A6002 as it will be the best of the range. Again it is difficult to tell without feeling the rubber.  The rubber is the most critical thing with these sorts of bats.
