Strokes
Hi coaches
I heard of some kind of "stop-shot" performed with LP rubber but I am not sure what it is. As I can get it is a very short version of block or drop shot. Am I right?
P.S. I am using normal rubber on both sides now. Pure interest :)
Hi Roman,
With the long pimples you can get the ball to stop short on the other side by coming down on the ball and absorbing the speed of the ball. This can be an effective stroke when played well. The danger is that it goes too long or high and then it is an easy ball for your opponent.
Take your attacking game to a new level by learning how to topspin a backspin ball with your forehand. This video lesson will give you some essential pointers to lift the ball over the net.

Sounds like a chop block??

I think absorbing the speed of the ball is the key idea – by either coming down on the ball or backwards on the contact.
Similar stroke with normal rubber would give some backspin
