Strokes in matches

Strategy

Hey Alois

On a daily basis, I practice all the major strokes like Topspin against block, topspin against backspin and all the other strokes which you have on your website. But when I am playing a match, I see I turn extremely defensive and all those strokes go wrong. I don't know what happens to me.

And also, please tell how to defeat a competitive opponent.

Thanks

Hi Shaant,

This is really natural.  In the game, focus on playing better not about the result.  Keep practicing your strokes in training.  Eventually they will become automatic and you won’t even have to think about them.
