Strokes
Hi coach,
This is a great site for TT learners from beginners to advance, i can say this bcs I started learning from holding the racket to playing loop from this site and videos.
My Question:
1. After playing a backhand topspin shot my feet position is like left foot little forward than right foot, what should be the immediate ready position to play forehand top spin loop after a quick block by the opponent.
2. What should be my foot positions when switching between backhand and forehand topspin.
Thanks Coach.

Hi Mukund,
We are pleased to be able to help you with your game.
The position you describe with your left foot slightly forward would be ideal to play the next ball with your forehand topspin.
When you are switching between forehand and backhand topspin from close to the table you should either be square to the table or have you left foot slightly closer to the table than your right.
When you are close to the table use your waist to generate more speed and to get yourself into a good position to make the strokes.
Once you've mastered the start and finish position of the forehand topspin, you can start to focus on finer details. In this video we talk about the position of your legs, weight transfer, varying the finish position, incorporating footwork, the use of your wrist, and the angle of your bat for the stroke.
