Switching Paddles

Hey coach, its me again. Im just wondering, is it ok to change paddles 3 weeks before a tournament? And also, can you clean your paddle in game?

Hi Angelo,

If possible I would avoid changing this close to a tournament.  While you will get used to hitting with it, in a crucial situation of return of serve or the touch shots your body will still not be tuned in to the new equipment.

What is the reason for wanting to change?

You are allowed to clean your bat during a match.  You can do it after 6 points when you are allowed a towel break.
