Dear Coach,

My ping pong table has a gap when i have one side up. I never have anyone to practice with so when i practice alone i have trouble with the gap after the net. I have a tendency of hitting it just over the net and it will just fall down the hole at that point. Is there anyway i can fix that or alter my table to fix it???

Hi Matt,

I think the best suggestion is to focus on hitting the ball a little harder so that it doesn't fall down the gap.

It is probably a good one to focus on , because the frustration will get you to do it automatically.

Sorry other than that I don't have any ideas.  If any of our readers are carpenters they may be able to help you with this.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
