Equipment
How do you choose a ping-pong ball?
Can You suggest a brand or some thing like that?
Some thing that is more durable
Thanks
Hi Pranav,
The things to look for in a good table tennis ball is firstly it need to be fairly firm. It should be able to stand a little pressure of your thumb, about the pressure of massaging your fingers. The second thing to look for is that it has no seam. Thirdly it need to be round. if you get a chance just spin it with your fingers and see if it looks round.
The problem with table tennis balls is that none of them will survive a person stepping on them accidentally.
Some good brands are Nittaku or Yasaka 3 Star balls.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
