Equipment
Hi I am thinking about getting a table tennis table but don't know which to get
please point me in the right direction.
from Jake.
Hi Jake,
The things to look for are the thickness of the top and what the table is made from. Also what features do you need such as do you need to pack it up regularly or will it stay set up. Are you using it for home or competitive play. The last but important thing is how much you are wanting to spend.
The Stiga tables are pretty reliable. You can look through their range and go for the most expensive you are will to buy that has the features you want.
Let me know what features are important and I will try to help you further.

Thanks for the advice I am going to use the table for home use, it needs it fold up so I can play on my own when I want to.I have a budget of £110.

Hi Jake,
Unfortunately you won't get too much of quality for that price. You are probably better to go to a department store and look for a table in that price range. The most important thing to check is the thickness of the top. Get the thickest top you can for that price.

Hi Azhar,
I am not sure what is available in India. How many tables do you need for that budget? Take a look at the Stag website http://www.stag.in/table-tennis.html for more information. Look for tables with the thickest top that you can afford.

Hi Azhar,
We use Stiga tables. They have a good name and are reliable. As with most equipment though they have a range to cater for different needs. In Australia we can get a Stiga Ultima table for around that price. This has an 18mm top and folds up onto two sets of wheel so is very portable. You should be able to get something similar there.
