Strategy
Hi,
I have a tournament coming up and one of my opponents is really good at blocking. He can return anything, including my smashes. I tried putting a lot of backspin on the ball, but then he starts angling his bat upwards. He is also very good at placement and makes his opponent run around a lot. Are there any tactics that I can use against him?
Hi Bp,
The main thing is to vary the spina and speed against these types of players. Also remember that faster is not always better. Often the slower topspin ball can be more effective. If you give them more speed they will use it to out manoeuvre you in the rally.
We have a tutorial for our Premium members on this. The a look at what is available in the Tactics section in particular the tutorial on Playing A Blocker.
