Serving
Hi alois i came across a lefty called Tao shi who has a very good serve third ball style. I want to try and replicate this being a fellow lefty but i found that when i do a high toss topspin serve like he does it gets flicked instead of pushed. Any ideas on how to make them push my high toss topspin serve? Is it where he is placing the ball that makes it effective?

Thanks

Hi Tam,
He has a great serve. He is keeping the ball really low. The key though is that he also has a good backspin serve that looks very similar so that is why he is getting some tentative returns. He has a bit of sidespin as well which helps to add disguise.
His strong forehand also helps to make the receive more tentative to keep the return tight.
So it is not only about the serve but what comes with it.
