What is tensor technology in rubbers?
Hi Pratap,
It is just where they have stretched the rubber to add tension to it. This makes the rubber faster.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Butterfly calls its tensor rubbers "H Tension". Maybe there's a patent on this, but it's certainly more or less the same principle as all the other tensor rubbers. The trouble with this technology, which is supposed to reproduce the effects of the now banned speed glue, is that its effect doesn't last. Sometimes it can vanish very rapidly, like in a couple of months. So if you don't need maximum speed and you're on a budget, prefer the non-tensor rubbers, like the Yasaka Mark V for example. I also don't like the "trampoline" effect of some tensor rubbers (non-linear response from soft to harder hits) that makes them less predictable than regular rubbers.
