The best grip

Hello Alois,

I need to know the best bat grip that is suitable for both backhand and forehand. And I am not asking about the difference between the regular grip and the pen grip. My own grip is the regular grip. but I feel not comfortable when I try to strike with forehand but not with backhand. When I tried to do the same grip of the professional players, my forehand went well but not my backhand.

Take a look at our lesson on Get a Grip.  This will show you the things we think important about the shakehand grip.  It is important to get the bat central in your hand and in line with your arm to allow you to play both sides equally well.

Thanks so much for your reply

But I have a problem. when I try to strike with backhand I notice that my grip change unintentionally so that my index finger goes towards the bat center. I am just asking if this is ok or my grip should be the same for both forehand and backhand.

Try to keep your grip very similar for both forehand and backhand because once the ball travels faster you will struggle to change grips quickly.
