Hi coach,

I'm not sure why, but suddenly I'm struggling with my grip, I'm switching grips for backhand and forehand shots, clearly this has created a disadvantage for me, I just can't seem to find a comfortable neutral grip that I feel strong with either wing, I saw your video and I want to know if you have any other pearls to offer?

Hi Lawrence,

I always remember a very good player from my past, Tommy Danielsson, saying often that some days his grip felt terrible.  He used to say, he had been playing for 30 years and still couldn't get his grip right.

I think you need to relax your hand and let the bat get into a comfortable position of its own.  Often the more you focus on it the worse it gets because you tighten your hand to try and find the "right" position.

Coach, I think you're spot on!

the more I focus on it, the worse it's become .....

and it's really caused me to tighten up my hand way too much.

the most important, all the forefinger along the bat for a forehand? and not only the tip.
