Serving
hi alois and jeff,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA74UCFmru0
at 3:50 this reverse serve waldner does is incredible!! he pulled off perfect aces with it whenever he used it!! how does he do that serve?
thanks!
Hi Shripathi,
Great to see the Master in action. This is a Reverse Pendulum serve but he does contact the ball quite flat and fast so that the ball travels fast down the line. It can be a really effective serve as a change up after doing a lot of short serves.

not to mention he looked in the opposite direction while using this serve! any chance of making a video on how to do it ?
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 12 years ago
Yes he was very deceptive. I don't think we will be able to replicate it but when we get a chance we may try to make a video about how he does it.

wow, thanks!

I would love to see you guys attempt to replicate this serve. It seems to be a very effective serve and it always puts a huge smile on my face when he aced people with it. Hope ya'll make this video!
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 12 years ago
Yes, I have smiled often at this too.

Me too
I am trying to learn this serve too,but it is always spinless and often ends in the net
D K Posted 9 years ago
Do you know what causes it?
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 9 years ago
Try hitting he ball to bounce closer to you and also make sure you are still brushing the ball on contact.

Shripathi,
That is a very good instructional video. But I'm I missing something, at 3.50 in the video I didn't see any Reverse Pendulum serve?

Steve
I cannot believe that there is someone who has even worse eyes than me
Even I,who (without glasses) cannot read this message from more than one inch, can see that Reverse Pendulum
Alois
Closer to me???
So should I break my wrist or something?? :DD :OO
I am already at my limit.
Is it normal?
And when we are talking about distances.....is it good when I am trying to make the contact very close to the table?
