Hi, What is the key thought in your mind whilst playing each ball? Is I must watch the ball?   Is technique related? Is it what shot should I play?  How would you describe your thinking process during the play of each point? Regards Maurice

Hi Maurice,

In an important match there should be just focus on the ball during a rally.  Before the point you can think about your tactic for the point.

Watching the ball is often talked about but it can never be overestimated as to how important it is to perform at your best.

During training you can have focus on your strokes and techniques and this can also happen during a practice match or a match where you are not concerned about the result.  However when your foucs is on a result then watching the ball should almost consume you.
