Mental Preparation
Hi Alois and Jeff
When drilling in table tennis I tend to become so stiff , how do I relax?
Also I can’t hit the ball on the rise how do I hit he ball with the best timing.
Hi Rexam,
Try to focus on this in your training. See where you are feeling tighter in the body. Often it tends to be in the shoulder or arm areas. If you start to focus on where you are feeling the tension, you will start to be able to relax these areas.
To hit the ball as it is coming up you do need good timing. Watch the ball carefully and stay close to the table. Make sure you are balanced when trying to hit the ball as well. Often players reach out in front when they try to hit the ball early.
