Discussion
Hi
I played table tennis at a regional club for several years, and when it came to scoring, I'd always prefer the other player to keep it.
I have a bit of difficulty keeping track of the score and also focusing on the play of each point, it seems to be one or the other. If I do have to keep score, sometimes I mess up things like who has service or even who's in the lead (haha). This has caused quite a bit of embarrassment especially in more serious matches.
Apart from simply practicing keeping score more, are there any techniques or tricks to this?
This is the main cause of anxiety for me when I think about going back to club play.
Cheers
John

The only other thing I would say is don't stress about it too much when you go to a club. Most people are understanding. You might even mention it to your partner when you start a match.
