Strokes
Hi PingSkills, I want to ask about the topspin against backspin first for the forehand, the start position is low down the table, but do i need to have the start position a little backward after down below the table ? just like the normal topspin against block and also, does the finish position is same just like the normal topspin (the bat facing to the side of the head) or a little bit vertical (the bat facing up the head) ? --- for the backhand, what's the angle of the bat ? Is it flat or just like the normal backhand topspin that's to close the angle of the bat ? Because when i try to close the bat, i can't hit the ball as the start position is down low under the table so i change it by have the flat bat but sometimes the ball go out so i think the problem is on the angle of the bat --- last, about how much backspin on the ball is it different movement when the push and chop ? As chop will make more backspin right ? If the video about this stroke is for push, what about for chop ? Should i need to lift it more or need more power or faster or what ? Then, with a really less spin, can i just make a normal topspin to make the ball low as it don't have a lot of backspin and when i lift it the ball is high and make them easy to smash or even the ball is out please answer my questions... Thank you very much.
Hi Frendy,
It is all about angles. The more spin on the backspin ball the more vertical your stroke needs to be. The less spin the more you can come forward. Don't get too worried about it, just do the strokes repetitively and you will start to learn the subtle differences.
In the heat of the rally it can become difficult to make the right choice between forehand and backhand. We give you some tips.

Learning the amount of spin takes time. You will start to see a difference with the sound of the contact on their bat. You will see the flight of the ball will be different and the speed of the ball will also be different.
Learn this with practice and time.
