Hi Ardak,

Yes it is a real stroke.  Jarryd use a short fast action to lift the ball over the net.

Jarryd ' s  stroke  seems very different from yours, isn't it?  In your "backhand topspin against backspin " video  stokes seems different?

Is it very important to have start position with very closed bat? I noticed it also from your video.

Is action by the following steps: start with closed bat, open the bat during the contact , then again close?

Try to keep your angle constant throughout when you are starting out.  This will add to your consistency.

Hi Ardak

It is not really different from Pingskils's "Backhand topspin against backspin".

If you download the video and play in slow motion, you will find that Jarryd is starting from racket below knee and ending the stroke above head.  This same as what suggested by pingskills.
