There is a tournament coming up in school and last year I found that if I get in the wrong mind set it is near impossible to win even if my opponent is not at my same level. what are some ways to stay in a good frame of mind and keep me from sabotaging myself in a game?

Hi Andrew,

When you go into the matches think about playing some good Table Tennis.  If you do that and achieve your goal, then you will feel good about the tournament.

Focus also on doing some of the things that you are working on with your game.

Find something in your opponents that you can work on.  Look firstly which is their weaker side.  Then work on what type of serves they don't like.

Don't try to do too much and just let yourself play some Table Tennis.

Good luck with it and let us know how you go in the tournament.
