Training
Hi Alois,
I live in an appartment so I have no space enough for a ping pong table. But I would like to know if a mini-table can help training, in which way, and what are the kind of progress it can help to develop.
Do you use it yourself sometimes ?
Best regards,
Gilbert
Hi Gilbert,
A mini table can help with improving your touch and feel for the ball. You could also set up a small table against the wall and just practice your serves into the wall bouncing first on the table.
I have never used a mini table for training but we do use the a lot in classrooms for younger students.
Due to the speed at which the modern game of Table Tennis is played, the backhand has become a stroke which can separate the medium level players from the elite players. Make sure you pay attention to your backhand and develop it so that you opponent cannot get a soft ball by simply playing to your backhand.
