Traning or Practice

Training

Hi Coach,

I have been playing for my school for a weeks now, so every time I have a home game it takes about 1 hour until the other team arrives. We use that hour to warm-up and have a hit. Also what I mean by practice is just having a hit and what I mean by training is muti-ball and hitting the ball in particular patterns. I have teammates who would not mind training not practicing. So which is better to do before a game?

Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt,

It is probably best to start with some consistent hitting.  Then practice your serves and then you can play some practice matches.

#9 - Forehand Attacking Technique

In this session we introduce some random drills. A random drill is where you don't always know where the ball is going. Random drills are really important for your development as they are more game like. You need to be able to play your strokes well even when you don't know where the ball is going. We also continue to work on your new serve. This week we introduce a target into your service practice to help you gain even more control on your serve.
