Hi Jeff and Alois,

I've recovered  after a lower back muscle injury and in my last practice sessions in struggling with FH topspin.

I'm having no problem at all fh topspinnig backspin balls but then I often tend to miss my 2nd fh topspin off the block, either over-hitting or going to the net.

Instead if my opponents counter-loop my first loop,  I never miss the 2nd  fh loop.

I've never had such a problem before my injury.

I Watched your lessons and I can perform a good fh topspin but then, during a match, I always feel I miss the right time on the ball.

Tomorrow I'm going to compete in my first tournament of the season.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks a lot!

Ciao.

Marco

Hi Marco,

The key is to get over the second topspin.  This is a really common problem.  We have a lesson in our Premium lessons devoted to this problem because I see it so often.

It is the slight adjustment between the backspin ball and the block ball that gives everyone the problem.  Try to over compensate to start off with by really going over the second ball even to the extent that you are trying to hit it into the net.  Hopefully this solves your problem.

Good luck with the tournament!
