Trouble with making contact with the ball

I recently bought a new racket - Jonyer -h FL with Mark V's on both sides. After I bought this racket, when I started going for my top spin, I am not able to get my bat to touch the ball. I miss making contact with the ball 9 out of 10 times, which really puts me out of confidence. All was well with my old blade. My new racket is a lot lighter than the old one. Is it because of this? It is almost 4 days since I got my new racket.

Hi Poona,

The bat may have something to do with you missing but the main thing will be how well you are watching the ball.  As you start to miss you become more anxious and as a result your vision becomes a bit worse.  You may also be trying to hit the ball harder because you have a new racket.

Focus all your attention on the ball for a good 5 to 10 minutes and your problem will be fixed.
