Hi George,
TSP as a brand has a good name. However, it is difficult to tell what the blade is like without seeing it or knowing what type of TSP blade it is.
TSP have a large range of products so let me know which one you are looking at and we can see if anyone has used it. I haven't used any of the TSP gear for a long time.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Hi George,
Try not to focus too much on equipment. You need to have a reputable Table Tennis brand and TSP has that.
Then the main thing is to focus on improving your Table Tennis. Work on your technique and improving your consistency on all strokes. It is this training that will make a real difference to your game.
If you look at the top 50 players in the world, they will use a wide range of different bats from different brands. So from this you can tell that there is no one perfect combination. Just make sure you are using a good brand.
As a starting point we often recommend using a Stiga allround blade with Mark V rubbers or a Butterfly Primorac Off- blade with Sriver rubbers. Both these bats will allow you to develop your game to a high level.
Good luck with practice.
