Hi Coach,

Ever since I have learnt lob I have noticed that most of the point I lost during the lob are due to drop shot (7/10 Times).

I have seen some player ending lob with a heavy topspin or loop. But it is too tricky to do because we have to adjust the hight. Using Flat contact or tilt the racket?

How to execute it perfectly.

Hi Tushar,

This is possible when you get into good position and have a little more time to be able to swing at the ball.  Often this is not possible because the player attacking is smashing at you.

The attacking stroke from there is big topspin stroke.

For our Premium members we do have a Master Class on this topic, Defensive Shot Selection.

Tactics Against Penhold Players

When playing penhold players it is important to remember to first analyse your opponent as you would if they used any grip. What are their strengths and weaknesses? A common weakness of penhold players is their forehand block especially against a slow spinny topspin. Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.
