My hand are a trifle small so i use my index as well as my middle finger in the shake hand grip for extra stability

Is this wrong and should i completely alter my style and start from scratch?

Hi Ankesh,

It is better to only use the one finger on the back of the bat.  When you use two you limit the use of your wrist.  Try it with one finger.  You will feel like you are losing some control but you will get used to it.

Like with all long serves the best option is to topspin the ball.  If you get a good contact with your topspin you will be able to negate the spin on the serve.
