Hi Pingskills,

I'm currently using a Stiga Allround Classic with tenergy 2.1 on the forehand and Stiga calibra lt sound 1.9 on the backhand and finding it to start to be a bit slow for me. Do you have any suggestions for a new faster blade and a rubber that I can spin more easily with than the Calibra on my backhand?

I've tried my friends Timo Boll spirit which feels pretty good, haven't tried it out too much though.. will using such a blade be too much of a step up for me do you think?

Many thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

If you like the feel of your friend's blade, then give it a try.  I don't think it will be too much of a step up.  You could even try Tenergy on both sides if you like the feel of it on the forehand.

First I would ask you friend if you could borrow it for a while and then try the Tenergy rubber on both the forehand and backhand sides and just see if it is too fast or not.

Thank you, I've also looked a bit at the Liu Shiwen blade, do you have any comments on that? Otherwise I'm thinking about taking the safer option and just going for the Stiga Offensive Classic.

I will look around at my club first though and try some faster blades..
