Hi Alois.

Vic Open's coming up soon!

I feel like I should be optimizing my time to benefit fully for this comp.

Apart from playing twice a week at the club, are there any exercises I can do on my own?

All I can think of is serving and the basic footwork exercises.

Hi Jone,

Yes you can do some visualisation.  So spend a bit of time imagining yourself playing well.

Firstly take a bit of time to get yourself comfortable and relaxed. You can do this through some relaxed breathing.  Once you are in a relaxed frame of mind, ee yourself in the hall where you are playing the Victorian Open. Imagine yourself playing well.  Go through some points and notice yourself playing some good games.

You can also do some visualisation of your strokes and footwork and serving.  If used correctly, it is a powerful tool.

Good luck at the Victorian Open.  Let us know your results.
