Watching the ball

Strokes

hey pingskills I was wondering if I should watch the ball make contact with my bat. When I watch Alois and Jeff play I can see them watch the ball the whole way until they hit it. When I play I look at where I want the ball to land on the other side of the table. Is it really helpful to watch the ball?

thanks!

Hi Bryan,

It is one of the most important things about learning and playing matches.

Try to track the ball as far as you can onto the bat.  Sometimes it is difficult to see the ball all the way on but track it to where you can.
