Weight of the racket

Right now I'm using a butterfly taksim blade with rakza 7 as my forehand and tenergy 64 as my backhand. I want to change my forehand rubber to tg skyline 3 neo, but I'm worried my racket will be too heavy since chinese rubbers are heavy and I'm a penhold player. Would this setup, taksim, tg skyline 3 neo and tenergy be too heavy compared to the setup I'm using right now?

Hi Derek,

It will be heavier.  Every player has their own preferences to weight.  If you don't like a heavier bat then I would not change.

My personal preference is for a light bat to be able to use touch and feel.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I have a light blade with Tibhar Aurus and Grip-s. Grip-s is heavier rubber and I squeeze the paddle. Otherwise, it will fall off my hand.
