As you all may know, Werner Schalager is arguably one of the best server in the world with a lot of spin and variations in his serve. But his grip for the pendulum serve is different. Normally we take out the three fingers and make a fist behind the handle, but he use the normal shakehand grip for this serve. How can he still generate a lot of spin?

He does seem to alter the grip for some of his Pendulum serves but not others. When he doesn’t he uses his wrist to change the angle.
